Basically, I found the topic of discussion
a little disappointing. Why? Because an
individual who claims to be open-minded
would at least allow for the possibility
of a creator or higher power.
The responses gave me flashbacks of being
in the Kingdom Hall, because when I would
strike up conversations regarding UFO's
it would be like running into a brick
wall.
Based on the responses, no doubt, there are
individuals on this discussion board that
would not make allowances for that either.
Peace,
The Wanderer

Gosh! it feels as though I never left the Kingdom Hall.
I recall when I used to have discussions about UFO's around Jehovah's Witnesses, the responses would be similar.

Questions for the Atheists and Unbelievers
Understandably, individuals who have left the organization did so for
personal and more than likely good reasons. And after reading the
commentary directed toward the Watchtower, laced with white-hot
hatred, this brings us to an important question about beliefs.Being One of Jehovah's Witnesses we believed in God
Now, that you are no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses without a belief
in God, and associated with an organization that has a structured belief
system, does that justify a disbelief in God or the supernatural?Recent Show Featuring Paranormal Investigations
Being an atheist or an unbeliever how do you explain the thousands
of paranormal phenomena that are well documented in nearly every
country in the world? If you have no belief in God, then explain, why
things that cannot be seen or explained with the naked eye exists
in this world?Cannot deny the possibility that God does exist
According to my way of thinking, to deny the possibility that
God exists is a closed-minded position. Simply, because if
paranormal activity can be proven, who is to say that a high-
er being does not exist. Please add your commentary to this open-minded discussion.

An Interesting Public Talk
Some years ago, there was an interesting talk based on Noah's ark and
the brother giving the talk had a full model display scaled down so that
individuals could appreciate the type of work that went into such a
real life project.Such Talks Done Away with
An elder related to me that the Watchtower Society had done away with
such talks because the talks did not focus the complete attention on the
Bible. It was one of my personal warning signs that something was terribly
wrong.Recalling Further Conversations
One day, in speaking to an elder, I questioned how the talks were
designed, he mentioned that they were designed by outlines and
that some of the talks were 20, 25 and even 30 years old. That
struck me as odd—because I always created my own—something
that I failed to mention to him.Question to the audience
1.) Does anyone have any idea how the talks are structured in the organization?
2.) Why are the talks so old?
3.) Can someone relate any information regarding the talks?Respectfully,

The Morals Taught by the Watchtower Society
There are two sides to this story and once again it will spark a
heated controversy. And once again, I make no apologies for
discussing the issue. The Basic Structure of Keeping Morally Clean
Recalling my memories as a Jehovah's Witness, there was always
counsel regarding sexual morality, drinking, smoking and the like.
Overall, that counsel helped construct a solid foundation and per-
spective concerning moral soundness. And in addition, helped
instill a certain moral fiber. The Covering up of Matters
However, the counsel regarding the morality may have been all
well and good, the fact of the matter is that the Watchtower
Society is responsible for covering up matters regarding child
molestation.Your Perspective Regarding this Matter
Everyone on this board is unique in that they have a certain
view point regarding this issue. What is yours? Please post your point of view taking both sides of the account
into consideration in order for all on this discussion panel
to benefit.Respectfully,

Dear Discussion Board Friends:
The discussions that are posted by me are not always going to
be flattering and some are going to become very controversial.
Truthfully, I make no apologies for starting the threads because
an individual such as myself has never been afraid to stand alone.
Although, my threads are controversial, I will take pains in not
attacking, insulting or putting anyone down. As a Witness I spoke
my mind and I was not popular and that part of me has not changed.
If anyone, feels that I have personally attacked them in a thread
please bring it to my attention and I will set the matter straight.
Respectfully,
The Wanderer
P.S. I tend to look at things in an objective setting. -

Dear Bizzy Bee:
In reply to your question, it is true that I could have
learned the breaking down of racial barriers at college
or at another church. The truth of the matter though, is
that, I learned it through the organization.
However, this does not mean I endorse the organization.
No, it is still what it is, but even in a bad organization
something worthwhile can be learned.

The Uniting of the Races, Giving Credit where Credit is Due
Although this discussion is going to raise the eyebrows of controversy, it is
necessary to consider. Having been one of Jehovah's Witnesses for a
number of years I could not help but notice that there was harmony between
people of different races.Did the Watchtower Help in Uniting the Races or was it Propaganda?
In the organization there were certain facts that were undeniable. For example, there were
a number of mixed marriages and interracial marriages that I suppose, for all intents, and
purposes, were good and consisted of individuals that would never have met if it were not
for the organization.Recognizing the Backlash on this Topic of Discussion
Personally, all things considered equal, I am glad that I had the opportunity to meet people
of different cultures and backgrounds while I was with the organization. If I had to carry
something good out of the organization—it was the breaking down of racial barriers.
Please give us your thoughts on this highly controversial issue.Respectfully,

The Crossroads
In life there will be many times in which an individual
will come to a fork in the road or to a crossroad. The
question is?which road will he or she take?Your Personal Crossroad
This discussion is aimed at the individuals who had
to leave family and friends behind in the organization.
There are a number of questions that individuals who
have never had to experience something this devastating
need to understand. For example:1.) How long did it take you to decide to leave the organization
once you knew it was no longer the "truth" ?
2.) How much harder of an influence was it to weigh the decisions
on leaving, realizing you had family and friends in the organization ?
3.) If you had to do everything all over again would you have done
things differently or exactly the same ?Please post your commentary in order to help yourself and others
involved and to educate those with interest in this issue.Respectfully,
